RMHC®of Greater Las Vegas Scholarship Program
The RMHC of Greater Las Vegas Scholarship Program is a partnership between RMHC, McDonald’s, and local community organizations. The scholarships help students who have limited access to career and educational opportunities, and is part of RMHC & McDonald’s ongoing commitment to education.
McDonald’s Owner/Operators of Greater Las Vegas and The Las Vegas Review Journal help support the program by contributing a portion of every Review Journal newspaper sold in participating McDonald’s restaurants. Since 2002, over $985,000 in newspaper contributions have been donated to the RMHC Scholarship Program!

Since 1999, the RMHC scholarship program has given out over $2.1 million in scholarships to students from Clark and Nye counties in Nevada. In 2010, the program will award $238,000 to 98 high school graduates. RMHC also offers scholarships to past RMHC Scholarship recipients as part of the RMHC Alumni Scholarship Program. Since beginning in 2008, the Alumni Program has awarded $86,000 in scholarships to returning college students. In 2010, the Alumni Program will award $34,000 to 19 returning college students.

2010 Scholarship Program Statistics:

RMHC Scholarship Program
for graduating High School seniors.
Program Eligibility - All applicants must meet the following criteria:
- • be currently enrolled as a high school senior in Clark or Nye county in Nevada.
• be eligible to attend an accredited two- or four-year college,
university or vocational/technical school with a complete course of study.
• have a minimum unweighted cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
• be a legal U.S. resident less than 21 yrs. of age.
- • Certified High School transcript
• Official test scores (ACT or SAT)
• Parent/Guardian’s IRS Form 1040
• A personal statement (1-2 pages)
• 1-2 Letters of Recommendation

RMHC Alumni Scholarship Program
for previous RMHC Scholarship recipients
Program Eligibility - All Alumni applicants must meet the following criteria:
- • be a past recipient of the RMHC of Greater Las Vegas Scholarship Program.
• currently be enrolled at an accredited two- or four-year college, university
or vocational/technical school with a complete course of study.
• have a minimum 3.0 cumulative college GPA (high school GPA’s NOT considered).
• submit a complete signed application with all required documents.
• be a legal U.S. resident.
- • Certified College/University transcript
• Parent/Guardian’s IRS Form 1040
• A personal statement (1-2 pages)
• 1-2 Letters of Recommendation
